Worship : 6 September 2009

Come and join in with Sunday Setlists over at FredMckinnon.com, and see how churches around the world have been worshipping this week. It's been a few weeks since I posted a worship post. There's LOTS of reasons for that, some of which might become clearer in coming weeks. Providing I blog about them of course. A new message series started today on guarding your tongue, and should be another great set of messages. It's also Father's Day down here in Australia (and New Zealand), so we only had a morning service to allow everyone to spend the rest of the day with their families. We don't have that luxury here as our families are faaarrrr away, so Diane and I took advantage of the rare opportunity to catch up on some sleep with a luxurious Sunday nap. Music Sunday AM 1. Happy Day (Hughes, Cantelon / Soul Survivor) 2. I Walk By Faith (Chris Falson) 3. To Meet You Here (Goodwin, Scarpato / Awesome Church) 4. This Is Our God (Morgan, Fielding / Hillsong) ...then following tithes, offerings, news... 5. Happy Day ...and to close the service... 6. I Walk By Faith I was leading again today, though basically co-led with Dante since he led songs 2 and 4. We had some sweet free-worship time in the middle of To Meet You Here too. Various members of the team have also spent the past two Saturdays in the recording studio, and we've got another 2 songs done for our album now. Woohoo! Last week was one of my favourite worship songs to come from our church (Worthy Is The Lamb), while yesterday was our fun-pop-praise-summer-sing-a-long type number (well, the chorus anyway - Forever Praise). We've got a busy few months ahead to get it completed by the end of the year, but we will get there. What did you do this weekend? Note for Facebook readers : remember if I post a video or song, you'll need to actually click through to my blog to see or listen. You know you want to.
