Transition Update

Just gotta say, a week goes really REALLY quickly... I'm having trouble putting the week's events into stages...but suffice to say it's all moving along quickly, with emotions riding the gamut of possibilities. God is the great stabiliser in all of this, and we thank Him ALL the time. I do want to let you all know that I'm not ignoring you, and haven't suddenly stopped reading your blogs, but I am not likely to be commenting as much as I was as the qty of leisure time decreases over the next few weeks. I am still reading though via my reader, just not clicking on through to express my appreciation for all the amazingness your blogs hold. From big huge revelation to simple thanks, from frivolous to serious...I love being part of this bloggy twittering community. And regarding Twitter...yeah, I'm not on there quite as much either...miss you guys :/

Just thought you should know...

Media_httpwwwshapingt_fbvgc
...I've finally made the big time in the blogging world. Yep...after nearly 4 months of hard slog, brilliant penmanship, superlative creativity and relentless pimping convincing people (ok, mainly tweeple) this blog might be worth a look every now and then, I'm thrilled to announce that today the number of spam comments I've received has finally exceeded the number of real comments. I can hardly contain my excitement. Uh-huh, I know...it's incomprehensibly amazing hey. But I need some help with something that has baffled me. Why does THIS POST receive 92.3% of my spam?  Anyone? If I let them go there'd be almost 700 comments on that post now.

Fri 30 Jan 2009, 7.30pm

The last night of our week of prayer worship meetings. I'm kind of sad that they're over, but I'm also relieved because basically life has been on hold this week while serving and seeking God took over completely.

It was great to be able to be in the congregation tonight as the team flowed in the bridge from You'll Come for most of the night, and we ended with a very powerful (there's that word again :) time of praise and worship singing With Everything. It was almost as amazing as when I first heard it at Hillsong Conference. These guys are awesome, and how blessed am I to lead them.

But the reason we were there was there to seek, repent, give thanks, call in what God's promises are for me, and praise and worship my Lord; that's what I and hundreds of others did. And his blessing was abundant in the prayer. I love how God refreshes even while we're dancing and sweating and shaking...never fails to amaze me

Then about 12 of us went out for coffee & gelato (though I just had juice as I was completing a week long fast) and before we knew it, it was 12.30am! I am so thankful to God for the fellowship He's placed my wonderful wife and I with. 2009 - you have great things in store! Bring it on!

Such a little thing

Being a senior manager can be tough.  Even when you're just 7 days into the role - or should that be especially when you're just 7 days into the role.
Today, in one of my five meetings which took up around 80% of the day, while my staff downloaded one-on-one about the past and dreams for the future, eight words meant a lot to me :

"I think you will be good at this".

That made my day.

Thanks!

As I begin this week in my still-new job, I wanted to thank everyone around the world who was praying for me during the weeks leading up to this point. It's incredibly cool to know that I've got friends across the globe who are holding my future up in prayer to our Lord! Very, very cool. But this blog is also to apologise. See, I actually drafted this post to put up at the beginning of last week, and I was just reviewing my posts lists during lunch and noticed I had a draft still sitting there. Of course, it wasn't one of frivolous posts like my one on cheese toast, but probably my most important ramble so far because it thanks you, my God-following readers :-) So - thanks! I appreciate you more than these words can ever express.
